A lot of people have been asking the question “What’s new with Guitar Hero 5?” What they really want to know is, ” Is there really going to e enough difference in this version for me to spend my money on it?” For that reason, we wanted to give you a quick run down on what you can expect to see in the latest version of the Guitar Hero franchise.
Guitar Hero 5 is, as you might fairly assume, the fifth version of the Guitar Hero franchise to be released. The game has been developed by Neversoft and published by RedOctane and Activision. It will be released in North America on September 1, 2009, in the European Union on September 11th and in Australia on September 16th. Just like the previous version, Guitar Hero World Tour (Guitar Hero 4), Guitar Hero 5 is geared towards playing in a four-person band experience, including lead and bass guitar, drums, and vocals. One of the coolest things about Guitar Hero 5 is that you will be able to use all of your instruments from previous versions of the game so you don’t have to buy a whole new instrument bundle to upgrade. Of course, you will still be able to get a full system bundle if you need the new instruments.
Guitar Hero 5 will be adding several new features that will add some new dimensions and experiences to your gameplay, such as drop-in/drop-out play, bands composed of any combination of available instruments, a Rockfest competitive mode consisting of several various scoring mechanisms, and both song-specific and general challenges to unlock new characters, clothing, and other extras in the game. A lot of the changes you will find in Guitar Hero 5 are going to be geared toward the social gaming experience with the ability to play with as many as eight different players at one time as well as allowing game play and competition both at the game console and online.
Guitar Hero 5 sports an awesome new track list of 85 songs by 83 different artists or bands, and like previous Guitar Hero games, several musicians in the game have been modeled through motion capture to create their characters, including Johnny Cash, Carlos Santana, Shirley Manson, Kurt Cobain, and Matthew Bellamy. You will still be able to use the user-created music studio introduced in World Tour through GHTunes, and additional downloadable content for the game will be made available. A majority of existing downloadable tracks from Guitar Hero 4 will be forward-compatible with Guitar Hero 5.
All in all, GH5 looks to be what everyone would assume is the next logical step in the games legendary line. All anyone would need now to add to their gaming fun would be a hand full of cool Guitar Hero 5 Cheats and you will be on your way to superstardom!
